From 30 August 2025, all users will need an assigned licence to access D365 applications.

Administrators now have access to usage reporting (since 30 April), and users without licences will start seeing in-product prompts. These changes are designed to give organisations time to prepare before enforcement begins.

What’s changing?

  • Licence usage reporting is available (since 30 April 2025)
  • Users without licences will receive in-app alerts
  • From 30 August 2025, only licensed users will be granted access

This shift in enforcement brings greater clarity—but also greater responsibility.
